Bus line 65 returns to Ülemiste City

,   2 minute reading

Thanks to the efforts of the Ülemiste City developer and the community, bus line 65 will return to the campus starting in August, and bus line 13 will not be rerouted away from the campus.

Bus line 65 will be reinstated and will operate in Lasnamäe in a similar way to line 48. Line 65 was previously an internal Lasnamäe route that was discontinued in autumn 2025.

From August, bus line 13 will become faster, as it will no longer detour to the airport. Instead, it will stop at the Ülemiste City stop together with the tram lines. To reach the airport, passengers on line 13 will need to add one stop by transferring to a tram. The Ülemiste City, Lõõtsa, and Valukoja stops will remain in service.

“Maintaining good accessibility by all modes of transport is very important to us as the developer of Ülemiste City. The planned summer changes to bus routes have led to important discussions with the city government in recent months. We are pleased to see that, through joint discussions between the Ülemiste community and city representatives, a good solution has been found that improves accessibility while also making the public transport network more efficient,” added Sten Pärnits, Chairman of the Management Board of Mainor Ülemiste.

To ensure that line 13 remains in place, Mainor reached an agreement with the city to increase the speed limit throughout the campus from 20 km/h to 30 km/h. In addition, one raised asphalt section on Lõõtsa Street and another on Valukoja Street will be lowered. “Give way to buses” signs will be added in all directions at the Valukoja–Lõõtsa intersection. The intersection of Valukoja and Lõõtsa streets near the substation will also be realigned to provide buses with a better turning radius.
