Ülemiste City is further expanding the health cluster of the campus and the range of health services with the second Health Center. On Wednesday, the cornerstone of the 20 million euro building, which will be completed in a year at Sepapaja 12, was ceremoniously laid.

“With the completion of the new Health Center, the Ülemiste health campus will become the most complete health complex in Estonia developed on the basis of private capital, bringing together top-level preventive treatment, diagnostics, surgery and specialist care,” said Sten Pärnits, Member of the Supervisory Board of Mainor Ülemiste.

According to Ursel Velve, Chairman of the Management Board of Mainor Ülemiste AS, with the development of the first Health Center, the long-awaited family doctor service was brought to the campus, and with the expansion of the health cluster, a whole range of services supporting family doctors will be added. “In addition to the new building, a park area will be built on the campus, allowing people to move outside and spend time, and thus we can encourage people to pay even more attention to their physical health. The extension of the Health Center is a step forward in the development of the campus in creating a 15-minute city, where services are conveniently and quickly available to people,” she noted.

“During the Activate 100 program, it was revealed that 80% of the seemingly healthy employees of the campus have blood indicators and almost half of their body analyzes outside the reference values. Therefore, as an environment and as a developer of services, we feel an important responsibility to offer a larger selection of services that support people’s health,” said Ursel Velve. “Also, a strong health cluster provides an opportunity for the export of Estonian health services, as we are located in a mobility center that is easily accessible by plane, public transport, bike, and in the future also Rail Baltica trains.”

“Time is valuable and we all have it equally 24 hours a day. The question is how and why to use it most effectively. Adding a new Health Center to Ülemiste City is very good news. The Health Center is in the heart of the campus and can be reached within 10 minutes from any office. The wide range of health services planned there is also significant. Convenient for both employee and employer, everyone saves time and it is easy for a person to keep an eye on one’s health. Our employees can choose health insurance from the motivation package, so they can also book their health procedures with the support of the insurance and have them done in the new building,” said Katri Jürine, HR Manager of Thermory, a thermal wood manufacturer operating in the business campus.

The biggest tenant of the new Health Center, which will be completed in a year, is the Tartu University Clinic. “Today, the clinic in Tallinn offers services in several specialities in different locations of the city. Ülemiste Health Center is a good opportunity to consolidate healthcare services in one location, offering both patients and employees a convenient location and modern living conditions,” said the Tartu University Clinic’s Business Development and Administration Manager Johann Sulling. The receptions of the Men’s Clinic of Tartu University genetics and personal medicine clinic, and sports medicine and rehabilitation clinic will be transferred to the Health Center, which will be opened in 2024.

In addition to the Tartu University Clinic, Niine Skin Clinic, SYNLAB, BENU Apteek, MediPunkt, Dr. Tomson Family Physician Center, Perearstikeskus, Health Tests, Linna Grupp, Reio Vilipuu Rehabilitation Clinic, PSI Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Center and Ülemiste Psychiatry Center will operate in the new Health Center. This year, the Ülemiste Surgery Clinic was also opened in the Alma Tominga building of Ülemiste City.
