The first fast charger for cars in Ülemiste City
In October, the first eTerminal fast charger for electric vehicles will open in Ülemiste City. Installed in the area of Valukoja 5 and 7, the eTerminal charger enables charging at up to 140 kW and can serve two vehicles at the same time. The fast charger can fully charge the battery of an average electric car in approximately 30 minutes.
According to Sten Pärnits, Chairman of the Management Board of Mainor Ülemiste, the new charger marks an important step in the development of Ülemiste City’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure: “Ülemiste City’s goal is to ensure that charging opportunities grow in line with the needs of the companies, employees and visitors on campus. To this end, we have added a total of 25 new charging connectors to the campus over the past year, increasing the number of charging points to 45. Now, a public fast-charging option is also being added.”
For users’ convenience, the parking spaces at the charging points are wider than usual, allowing two electric cars to charge comfortably side by side. The charging station price is €0.41/kWh (incl. VAT), and a time-based fee (€0.10/min) applies from 60 minutes after charging has started.
To use the fast charger, users can choose the most suitable payment method: a Terminal RFID card, the Cloudics app, web payment or bank card. Installation of the card payment terminal is planned in the coming months.
