Today, a new car park located at Suur-Sõjamäe street was opened in Ülemiste City, which will be connected to a 12-storey office building that will be completed in spring, 2020. The six-storey car park has a total surface area of 12,600 m², and it has space for 529 cars. Technopolis Ülemiste AS invests about 25 million euros into the construction of the office building and the car park.

‘Ülemiste City is becoming increasingly more pedestrian-friendly, and with the completion of the largest car park, we are one step closer to a car-free campus – with car parks, we direct car traffic to the edges of the campus, to leave the centre car-free,’ said the Chairman of the Management Board of Technopolis Ülemiste AS, Gert Jostov, according to whom, the 3500 current parking spaces, half of which have been moved to car parks, cover the parking needs of the 10,000 workers of the campus completely, since the majority of people use public transport to travel to Ülemiste.

It took 400 tonnes of steel and 5,200 m3 of concrete to build the car park at Suur-Sõjamäe 12a, and it will be connected to the office building with a gallery. The entrance to the car park will be on Suur-Sõjamäe Street. In addition to more than 520 parking spaces for cars, a motorcycle and bicycle parking area has also been planned into the building. A city square with flags, a fountain and a seating area has been planned to the south side of the new buildings.
