,   2 minute reading

From April 1st to April 30th, you can vote for ideas included in the 2026 Ülemiste City participatory budget. In total, over 40 ideas were received from more than 20 organizations in the campus.

The ideas will be voted on in three categories: culture and hobby activities, urban space, and improvements for daily life. Each voter has three votes—one for each category. The idea with the most votes will be implemented. Vote here

Sten Pärnits, Chairman of the Board of Mainor Ülemiste, thanks everyone who submitted their ideas: “The inclusive budget has been brought to life so that the campus community can signal what they need. Be sure to cast your vote and decide which idea will be implemented this year.”

On March 23, the Ülemiste City Community Fund Council met, approved the inclusive budget ideas that will be voted on and selected the major development projects that will be supported by the fund this year.

This year, the community fund will be used to create green corners with raised beds and permanent landscaping at the corners of the roads. A project will also be created for a new playground in Ülemiste City Park and support will be provided for the creation of a community mobile application.

This year, charitable organizations decided to support the Estonian Naturalists’ Society, the Maarja Village Foundation, and the youth conference “Step into the Future”. It was also decided to give funds for the Ülemiste City Day and outdoor cinema.

One of the goals of the community fund, which was launched in early 2024, is to involve community members in contributing to the development of the campus. In addition to the participatort budget, the community fund finances development projects, charity work, and community events.
