Several NGOs Now operate in Ülemiste City
In August, the Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations moved to the Agur building (Lõõtsa 8) in Ülemiste City. Smaller or larger teams from the nonprofits Tagasi Kooli, Noored Kooli, SPIN program, Kiusamisvaba Kool, Arengukoostöö Ümarlaud and others also work in the joint office of civic organizations.
The Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations is an umbrella organization that unites NGOs operating in the public interest. The association works to ensure that Estonia has an effective civil society where people want, can and know how to lead social change.
“By offering an office space to NGOs, we are taking one very practical worry off the shoulders of the associations so that they can better focus on solving social challenges,” explained Triin Toomesaar, the head of the network. “And we are happy and grateful that we can now work shoulder to shoulder with various leaders and professionals from both the public and private sectors at Ülemiste.”
Sten Pärnits, the CEO of Mainor Ülemiste AS, says he is very pleased that the Ülemiste campus now offers a home to so many civic associations. “I hope that we can offer the Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations and its members an inspiring environment that will contribute to their mission of increasing the impact, capacity and sustainability of NGOs,” added Sten Pärnits.
