Bikeep is conquering the world with a solution tested in Ülemiste City

,   < 1 minute reading

Bikeep, a manufacturer of safe and smart bike parking spaces, tested a new business model in Ülemiste City, where the costs of the bike rack are covered by a Clear Channel LED-advertising screen.

According to Bikeep’s manager Kristjan Lind, Ülemiste City was the first area where they were able to test this solution, and now they have taken the same business model to other Estonian locations and the Nordic countries. “After the successful testing in Ülemiste City, we have been able to grow this business model rapidly, and now the same model is in use in three more Estonian locations and in Finland, Sweden and Norway. It has worked best in Norway and Sweden, where 100 bike racks with billboards have been confirmed for installation next year,” added Lind.

The bike parking spaces installed with LED-advertising screens are part of the Ülemiste City Test City initiative, which aims to collaborate with innovative companies to develop the urban environment. Ülemiste City uses this advertising space for promoting its Green City service and to share mobility and carbon footprint statistics.

Bikeep bike racks help companies and public areas become more bike-friendly and thus attract more cyclists by offering a safe and easy bike parking solution that can be used with a mobile phone or local transport card.
