Traffic Management Changes on Suur-Sõjamäe Street
From July 7 until the end of October 2026, there will be traffic management changes on Suur-Sõjamäe street due to the construction of the retaining walls of the Rail Baltica train station. The demolition of the Suur-Sõjamäe 6 building will also begin as part of the Rail Baltica construction.
Public transport schedules will not change and there will be no rerouting of buses. Construction and demolition works will also not affect pedestrian movement on Suur-Sõjamäe street, but the locations of bus stops may change.
A map of the area affected by the construction works can be found in the attachment.
From July 7, 2025 to October 30, 2026, traffic will be organized so that at least one lane is open in both directions. During the technical break of construction works, it may be possible to temporarily open an additional traffic option, but more detailed information about this will be revealed during the works.
We regret that traffic in the Ülemiste City area will be disrupted for a longer period due to construction work, but thanks to the construction of Rail Baltica, the Ülemiste City area will be significantly better and more conveniently accessible in a few years. In the meantime, the Rail Baltica developers are asking for your patience.
