In Ülemiste City, we value an environmentally friendly mindset and a clean and healthy working and living environment. Our developers have set ambitious goals in terms of promoting green and recreation areas, energy saving and circular economy.
Environmental Goals of 2025
Since 2022 Ülemiste City no longer uses disposable food containers
If stacked on top of each other, the tower made of all the reusable packaging used in Ülemiste City would reach a height of 6.5 km, which is 145 times the height of a 13-story office building.

Base Camp

By 2030, the whole campus has joined the district heating and cooling system
By using district heating to heat the 10 000 m2 zero-energy office building we save 100 000 of CO2 per year. In 2030, after the whole campus has joined the district heating and cooling system, the annual CO2 amount decreased is the same as the environmental impact of a forest of 144 thousand trees. In terms of surface area, this is comparable to Kadrioru Park or two Ülemiste City campuses.
Every office building saves 1500 trees worth of CO2 annually thanks to the green district heating and cooling solution.
LEED buildings are water and environmentally friendly
LEED seritifitseeritud hooned tarbivad kuni 11% vähem vett. Ülemiste City kontekstis tähendab see säästu 3,2 mln l aastas vett, mis on 40 000 eestlase joogivesi ööpäevas.
*Vee kokkuhoid saavutatakse seadmete abil (automaatsegistid, veesäästlikud loputuskastid jne.)
We save as much water per year as Pärnu residents consume in a day
There are 100 nest boxes for birds in Ülemiste City
It means that every spring, 200 birds with their offspring are coming to our campus.
Every spring, we expect 200 birds to start a family on our campus.
