Webinar: Adjusting to Estonia

Feb 9, 2021 2:00 PM - Feb 9, 2021 3:30 PM

You moved to Estonia … and experienced a bigger cultural shock than you expected? People are unalike, weather is contrasting and even food tastes different! What now? Well, good thing is that we can learn from other’s experiences to get over this fairly quickly.😊 👉The International House of Estonia is glad to present a lively discussion on the ups and downs and do’s and don’ts of settling in. 💬Our speaker, Lucía Riet de Mahhov (www.luciariet.wordpress.com) is a life coach, psychologist and an expat living in Estonia, who will share her experience of moving and adapting to a new country. Coming from a personal background, she will share a lot of pro-tips, from cultural differences to adaptation challenges, that could help you cope with your new life in Estonia. ❗This seminar is targeted at foreigners who have recently moved to Estonia. As much as we’d love to host this event at the International House and meet face-to face, due to the current coronavirus situation, this time it will be held as a webinar. 🙋‍♀️The number of participants is limited, please secure your spot by registering here https://bit.ly/3io4Q84. The webinar is free of charge.

Technopolis Workplace Talks & Networking feat. F-Secure - What Should Business Leaders Consider for 2021?

Nov 18, 2020 1:30 PM - Nov 18, 2020 2:45 PM

Technopolis Workplace Talks & Networking feat. F-Secure - What Should Business Leaders Consider for 2021? Let’s Make Work A Better Place Wednesday 18.11.2020 at 15:30-16:45 (EET) REGISTER HERE: https://www.lyyti.fi/reg/WorkplaceTalks2020 Welcome to an unforgettable virtual event where distinguished leaders will be discussing how companies should be planning the future of work. The pandemic has accelerated the ongoing worklife changes by forcing us out of our offices. In the future, people will continue to work whenever and wherever it suits them best. While this transition gives CEOs and executive boards new opportunities for reducing costs and maximizing growth, it will also bring major challenges like cyber security risks. The key to making the most of these worklife changes is to carry out careful scenario planning that takes into account the threats and opportunities of the digitalized world. SPEAKERS To provide insights on how to strike a balance between the changing working environment, business and cyber security needs, we are happy to invite you to our virtual event with world-class speakers: Risto Siilasmaa Chairman and Founder of F-Secure, former Chairman of Nokia Risto Siilasmaa is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of F‐Secure Corporation having served as President and CEO of the company in 1988–2006. He is an entrepreneur at heart and also an active venture capital investor with over 30 active investments via First Fellow Partners, a fund management company he co-founded and where he is the only limited partner. Risto is an active contributor in many European and Asian industry associations and public debate. Mikko Hyppönen Global cyber security expert and Chief Research Officer at F-Secure Mikko Hyppönen is a worldwide authority on computer security and the Chief Research Officer of F-Secure. He has written on his research for the New York Times, Wired and Scientific American and lectured at the universities of Oxford, Stanford and Cambridge. He sits in the advisory boards of EUROPOL and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Lina Maskoliūnė Business Unit Director, Technopolis Lithuania Lina Maskoliūnė has been working in the field of real estate for 20 years. Her intuition has helped her to spot opportunities, understand people and situations, but also to find fast solutions or to wait for them patiently. Like most young executives, she has learned to work hard and strive for results relentlessly. She has been successful in teaching others to do the same. In this virtual event, the speakers will share their vision on the future of worklife: • How leaders can impact the future of work and plan different scenarios? • Why tech companies are at the forefront of the transition? • Top priorities for leaders in 2021 • Cyber security trends that CEOs and executive boards need to be aware of. EVENT PARTNERS HAVE A HYBRID MEETING We bring you together – safely! Connect to anyone, anywhere on any device in our professional meeting premises.
