The Ülemiste City community garden will be opened on May 12 at 15:30, behind the Lõõtsa 5 office building. The new area, together with a greenhouse, will offer opportunities both for gardening and for spending time in a pleasant environment.
All members of the Ülemiste community are welcome to attend the opening. At the event, Sten Pärnits, Chairman of the Management Board of Mainor Ülemiste, will give a speech. Anton Küünal will share his experiences and talk about unusual vegetables. Afterwards, we will explore the garden’s possibilities, and gardeners will be able to plant their first plants in their beds.
The community garden includes both private and shared garden beds. To obtain a private bed, please contact the garden coordinator. The use of a bed is subject to a small fee (€20 per season), and a contract must be signed. The fee will be used to support community garden events and other shared expenses.
The garden’s seating area includes shared beds and edible landscaping plants. The harvest from shared areas is intended for everyone.
The establishment of the community garden was supported by the Ülemiste City Community Fund and the City of Tallinn.
