On September 9th at 5:00 PM, artist Kristi Kindel will open the exhibition “Airing Out the Digital Drawer” on the second floor of the Öpiku Conference Center.
Kristi Kindel, who works as a graphic designer and for a while also a book illustrator, will be presenting her exhibition as a series of portraits, which she completed as a personal project, trying to draw one picture on a tablet every night for a month.
“Airing Out the Digital Drawer” began as a series of coincidences and a promise, as a result of which these small tablet drawings are now on canvas in front of a large audience.
According to the artist: “Having focused mainly on depicting people who are strangers to me, the goal was not to draw them exactly according to the pictures, but to interpret existing photographs, leaving the stories behind their faces in the air.”
We invite you to see the exhibition and also to experience your own interpretations at Öpiku Gallery, Valukoja 8 from September 9th to November.
The event will be documented by a photographer, videographer, or a representative managing Ülemiste City’s social media. Ülemiste City reserves the right to use the photo and video material on the city’s official channels.
