Worker Bees
“Worker Bees” is a supergraphic created by Adele Maria Rajangu, completed in 2025, and it reflects the essence of Ülemiste City as an urban environment based on cooperation, knowledge and development. The work was born in cooperation between Pallas and Ülemiste City, with the aim of supporting creative projects that help shape a smart and human-centred urban space.
“The work depicts Ülemiste City as a buzzing hive, where scientists, entrepreneurs, learners and the residents of the campus act together and each in their own role,” the author describes.
The characters depicted on the mural – with briefcases, bow ties and schoolbags – refer to the diversity and dynamism of the campus. These details convey the different roles and backgrounds that meet in the environment of Ülemiste City, creating a lively and constantly developing community.
Vegetation also has an important place, intertwining with human activity in the visual. This element highlights the greenery and healthy lifestyle of the campus, while at the same time functioning as a bridge between technology and nature. In this way, a balanced whole emerges, where innovation is not the opposite of nature, but exists together with it.
“Worker Bees” invites the viewer to see themselves as part of a larger system, where every contribution counts and where acting together creates something more than the sum of individual parts.
