“How Much Do You Know About Your Body?” is site-specific stair art created by Daria Titova, which turns the environment of Tervisemaja II into a playful and exploratory journey. The work was born from the idea of treating a medical centre not as an ordinary clinical space, but as an experience: “What if we turned a hospital into a cheerful fairy tale, where every staircase leads to a new world?” the author asks, inviting the viewer to step into a visual story that develops floor by floor.

At the centre of the work is the connection between the human body and nature, which Titova interprets through poetic and imaginative images. “Through blooming hearts and tree-like nerves, we show the connection with nature – flowing, growing and healing,” she describes. These motifs create an organic and living visual, where the body is not merely a biological system, but part of a larger whole that is in constant change.

Each floor tells its own story, creating a multilayered narrative from the stairway. “Each floor tells its own story, turning waiting in the health centre into an adventure,” says Titova. Such an approach gives the space a new meaning – moving on the stairs is no longer merely a practical activity, but part of an experience that invites one to discover, notice and think along.

The work also functions as a kind of playful therapy, aimed at visitors of all ages. “It is playful therapy for visitors of all ages, inviting them to climb, discover and gain new knowledge through play,” the author adds. Through colours, forms and symbols, an environment is created that softens the tension associated with doctors and supports a more positive emotional experience.

“How Much Do You Know About Your Body?” has also received international recognition – the work reached the final of the World Illustration Awards in the category of site-specific wall art and received the Highly Commended New Talent recognition. This emphasises the work’s strong visual language and conceptual completeness, which brings illustration, space and user experience together into one coherent whole.
