Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan was in Estonia on its first state visit from 6-8 April. Aliyev visited also Estonian ICT Demo Center in Smart Business City on Wednesday, 7 April.

An official delegation headed by Ali Abbasov, Communications and IT Minister of Azerbaijani was accompanying the President during the visit.

MicroLink sales director Oleg Shvaikovsky gave guests an overview of the current situation and main trends of the Estonian ICT. Azerbaijan wants to step up cooperation in information and communications fields and therefore expressed an interest towards various e-solutions.

President Ilham Aliyev met also with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Prime Minister Mr. Andrus Ansip and the Mayor of Tallinn Mr. Edgar Savisaar. He also held a lecture at the Foreign Ministry.
