Ülemiste City became member of Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications

ITLÜlemiste City became member of Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

Chief Executive Officer of Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications Jüri Jõema said: "I'm happy to see Smart Business City among the members of association. Ülemiste City is very innovative and helps to create synergy between different parties,"

CEO of Ülemiste City Gert Jostov finds: „We hope that Ülemiste City in cooperation with other members of Association is able to further deepen relationships between ICT companies working in the city. Our aim is to strengthen ICT cluster of the Smart Business City and we hope that this collobration will create a number of good ideas for further development of the area," Jostov added.

Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (officially abbreviated to ITL) is a voluntary organisation, whose primary objective is to unite the Estonian information technology and telecommunications companies, to promote their co-operation in Estonia's development towards information society, to represent and protect the interests of its member companies and to express their common positions.
Main activities of the association include popularisation of information and communication technology (ICT), promotion of vocational education and amendment of legislation.

AS Ülemiste City (www.ulemistecity.ee ) is the Smart Business City that is being established near Tallinn Airport. There will be several hundred thousand square meters of office space and high-tech factories in the business park. The software development company Webmedia and Mainor Business School moved to Ülemiste City in the autumn of 2006. The first factory construction was completed in the autumn of 2007, in November Estonia´s biggest restaurant street in the heart of the business park welcomed its first customers. In January of 2008, the IT company Helmes and human resource management company Fontes moved to Ülemiste City and the building of the largest Baltic IT company, Microlink, was completed in spring of the same year. From autumn Santa Monica Networks, gold partner of Cisco Systems, is also located in the city. In June of 2009, AS Hotronic Group, the company that offers integral solutions for security and also Fortum, leading power and heat company in the Nordic countries, settled in the Smart Business City.
