President Arnold Rüütel visits Ülemiste City

On Friday, 28 September, President Arnold Rüütel visited Ülemiste City. The aim of the visit was to introduce to Arnold Rüütel what has so far been achieved at Ülemiste City and its general concept.

"We have developed such a concept that we believe possesses the value of international expansion", said Gunnar Kobin, Chairman of the Board of Ülemiste City. "We are introducing the concept of our innovative business park to the people who could give us support for international development, primarily in the countries of the former communist block in Eastern Europe," added Kobin.

"Due to his long-term political experience, President Arnold Rüütel has good contacts namely with government leaders and presidents in Eastern Europe and the CIS, which is why his advice is invaluable to us.  Mister Rüütel considers the activities of Ülemiste City and its concept to be very promising and he promised to help when necessary with establishing new contacts first and foremost in Ukraine, as well as in other former Soviet Union republics," concluded Kobin.

AS Ülemiste City is the Smart Business City that is being established near the Tallinn Airport. There will be several hundred square metres of office space and high-tech factories in the business park.
