Rowan Gibson did keynote speaking at Ülemiste City's Smart Business Seminar

On last Wednesday, Rowan Gibson, well-known innovation strategist and an author of many books, did keynote speaking in Ülemiste City.

Rowan Gibson's lecture online is available HERE.

RGRowan Gibson is one of the few, who has succeeded in describing a company's innovation process systematically and has proposed tools to bring it in the process. In his speech, he pointed out that in modern economy, every company has the pressure of being successful. Having a successful year is not enough, the same has to be achieved the next year and the year after. For succeeding in that process, the company needs a continuous change and development i.e. the company needs to be innovative. That is the reason why Rowan Gibson's soon-to-be-ready book's „Innovation of the core" main argument is: "What companies need now is not just strategies for wringing out inefficiencies and massaging the numbers; what they need is entirely new strategies for creating wealth."

„Ülemiste City wants to create a Smart Business City for companies, who want to be successful today and tomorrow. The new way of thinking and supporting innovation is our mission and this seminar series are established for supporting that mission", said Gunnar Kobin, the Chief Executive Officer of Ülemiste City. „We don't want to be one of the many, who only talk about innovation. We want to be innovative ourselves and also support our clients in it".

Ülemiste City is an innovative district being founded in the neighborhood of Tallinn Airport. There will be more than a couple of hundred thousand square meters of office space and high-technological factories in the district. In autumn 2006, a software development company named Webmedia and Mainor Business School moved to Ülemiste City. A restaurant street in the heart of the district and the factory of ML Arvutid will be ready in 2007. In 2008, info technology company Helmes and Baltic's greatest IT company Microlink will be moving to Ülemiste City.
