Technopolis Ülemiste AS concluded a loan contract with Swedbank in the sum of 15 million euro to finance the construction of a new office building.

The construction of the triple tower
at Lõõtsa 8 has already started: the building, which is to be completed by the end of 2013, will hold a total of 24,000 m² of new office space. It will amount to 50% growth of Technopolis Ülemiste, making it the largest knowledge-based economic environment in the Baltics.

According to Gert Jostov,
Chairman of the Board of Technopolis Ülemiste AS, the business park is likely to see more than 30 million euro in investments over the coming years. “In parallel with the construction of new buildings we are expanding and improving our service portfolio, and working on modernising the infrastructure in cooperation with our partners and the city of Tallinn,“ Jostov said. “Good cooperation with Swedbank allows us to execute the development plan according to the schedule,” he added.

"The fact that houses developed by Technopolis Ülemiste are covered with rent contracts proves that clients are favouring modern and energy-efficient solutions. We are happy that as partners we can contribute to the development of Technopolis Ülemiste,“ said Ero Viik, head of Real Estate Department at Swedbank.

"Recent developments in world financial markets have been primarily resulted in growth of money prise in Estonia. Despite of that Swedbank continuously wants to be the most preferred financial partner for its clients and projects with sustainable cash flow will be financed. We are sincerely happy to be the most preferred partner to Technopolis Ülemiste crew in future development of the innovation city," Viik added.
